“working in the interest of sustainable development” is a key factor in the work we do throughout Africa.
The Millennium Development Goals (MDG’s) are the new framework for sustainable development. They set what are defined as “social equity goals and targets” that aim at contributing to economic development whilst ensuring sustainability.

Goal 7 Millennium Development Goals (MDG’s) - Ensure environmental sustainability

UNDP is the UN agency tasked with ensuring achievement of the M.D.G’s. Enviro Africa works in line with their objectives for environmental sustainability.
Our emission reduction projects are focused on the development of:
- Renewable energy - reducing the need and use of Fossil fuels: a depleting natural resource
- The use of alternative fuels such as Biomass
- Improving health and sanitation through integrated waste management and capturing gas to provide much needed electricity.
- Energy efficiency –targeted at reducing the amount of wasted energy in systems and industries
- Community development through promotion of technology transfer and use of local labour e.g. Teaching local women to make briquettes from waste products or to extract oil from seeds for fuel - providing them with income and a higher standard of life as well as generating much desired energy.
We ensure that a large percentage of expertise and labour used on the projects is local, thereby satisfying any national local content requirements.
We are an African owned company focused on the development of African expertise.
The World Bank defines sustainable development as “Development that meets the needs of the present generation but does not compromise the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.”
