Global Environment Facility (GEF): The Global Environment Facility (GEF) was established to forge international cooperation and finance actions to address critical threats to the environment.
World Bank: The World Bank is involved in a number of climate-related activities. The Prototype Carbon Fund (PCF), established to mitigate climate change, aspires to demonstrate the possibilities of public-private partnerships, and to offer a "learning-by-doing" opportunity to its stakeholders.
The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD): Assessment of long-term climate and sustainable development issues.

International Energy Agency (IEA): Mandated to provide analytical work on the energy dimension of climate change and the implications of the UNFCCC and its Kyoto Protocol on the energy sector.

United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) emphasises sustainable development and its associated programmes such as UNEP’s Billion tree Campaign www.unep.org/billiontreecampaign.
